We use superlative adjectives to compare 1 thing in a group with all of the other things in the group. We use "the" before the adjective because we are referring to one specific person or thing. In this English lesson, you will learn the spelling rules and how to modify superlatives. The rules are different depending on whether the adjective is 1 syllable, 2 syllable and more or irregular.
